Guides get the car back together.
Restoration Essentials publishes restoration guides for muscle cars & classic trucks — and runs auctions for the cars themselves.
Built at a bench, not a desk
Restoration Essentials is run by Bill Morton — who learned the trade the old way, next to his dad, restoring a 1968 Mustang GT in high school. The guides exist because the documentation didn't: forum threads go dead, factory manuals trade for $200, and publisher books pad the page count with filler. Restoration Essentials organizes the original service data into structured, model-specific guides at a fair price — the right parts, in the right order, with the right specs.
Every guide is built around a specific year and model, not a generic template with a different name on the cover. 558 are live today, and the library grows model by model.
How we work
- Model-specific or nothing. If we can't document a car or truck properly, we don't sell a guide for it yet.
- American iron only. Muscle cars and classic trucks — the cars America actually built.
- Delivered at checkout. Every guide is a PDF, in your hands the moment you pay. No shipping, no waiting.
- Auctions on the same roof. When a classic changes hands, it should be in front of people who know what it is. See the auctions.
